Diploma in Medical Record Technology is a twelfth level Medical Lab Technologist Diploma course. This course plays a key role not only in maintaining the patient records but it also promotes research of quality, in financial and legal interests of the patient and the Hospital with an excellent statistical reporting system.
The students learn about billing and insurance coding methods as well as how to use medical office software. The aspiring medical record technicians enrolled in this program learn to manage and operate the newest electronic record system being used by healthcare facilities. They also learn old-fashioned filing, record retrieval and sometimes even transcribing techniques.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination of any group with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized school board.
